Swimming against the tide

Somebody somewhere knows something about the predicament of Nigeria in this 21st century.
So many questions needed to be answered, what are we doing? why are we where we are? what's stopping us from moving forward in all ramifications of social, infrastructural development?
Can anyone answer this mind troubling questions; i know a lot of us have something to say about this situation we have found ourselves.

I had a conversation with one of my friends that i haven't seen  for the past 9 year or there about. I posted a picture of Bishop Oyedepo of Winners Chapel with President Goodluck Johnathan, on a return from Israel where they went on holy pilgrimage and i put a caption that says 'In the past 6 year of Obama, i never witness him in the company of  any religious  leader to Israel.'
My friend went all ballistic in defense of Mr president as if she was his wife, even madam Patience would have soft paddle on this one; She mentioned the fact that Nigeria problem started before GEJ, true, but does that mean he should continue in same pattern of no electricity, bad roads, insecurity, poverty and what not?

The fact remains that President Goodluck is just too complacent and has refused to be the change the nation needs to take it to promise land. My friend mentioned the fact that GEJ can't do it alone, then i corrected her as a graduate of History and International Studies, i took her to the bible first, explained to her how Moses took Israelite away from their misery in Egypt through the red sea; then how Jerry Rawlings set the pace for Ghana by 'setting' aside the corrupt leaders. If nobody makes a move, things will freeze as it were.

I think some of us enjoy living in this abject poverty caused by our dirty corrupt leaders who keep this huge money in foreign account for their children and their future generation to enjoy. This leaders know the truth, the reason why they haven't come out to speak the truth is because of the oil revenue they are sharing, my prayer is that the oil drains in nearest future so we could face our challenges squarely.
Maybe, just maybe there won't be anything called Nigeria by the time we can no longer find oil in our well, before that time comes, buy yourself a ticket, go on holiday abroad and return refreshed from the trouble the dirty corrupt leaders have caused you and the rest of us.
